Job Title: Account Manager – Ocean Freight, Drayage & Warehousing
Location: Remote (Open to LATAM talent around the world)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Base Salary: $2,500 – $3,500 USD per month (based on experience)
Working Hours: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM Mountain Time (MST)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and multilingual Account Manager to manage and grow client relationships across our China-based accounts. This role is critical in ensuring seamless coordination across ocean freight, drayage, and warehousing operations while delivering an exceptional client experience.
The ideal candidate brings deep logistics expertise, strong cross-cultural communication skills, and the ability to proactively manage complex supply chain needs.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary point of contact for China-based clients, managing day-to-day communication and long-term relationship growth
Coordinate end-to-end logistics operations including ocean freight, drayage, and warehousing services
Ensure timely and accurate shipment execution, troubleshooting issues and providing proactive updates to clients
Collaborate with internal teams (operations, customs, warehouse, carriers) to ensure service excellence
Monitor shipment milestones, KPIs, and service-level agreements (SLAs)
Identify opportunities to upsell or expand services within existing accounts
Resolve escalations efficiently while maintaining strong client trust
Maintain detailed records in CRM and internal systems
Provide regular reporting on account performance, volumes, and client feedback
Qualifications
Language Requirements: Fluent in Mandarin, English, and Spanish (written and spoken) – mandatory
Experience: 1+ years of experience in logistics, specifically in ocean freight, drayage, and/or warehousing
Proven experience managing international client accounts, preferably with China-based customers
Strong understanding of global supply chain operations, incoterms, and shipping documentation
Experience working with freight forwarders, NVOCCs, or 3PL providers is highly preferred
Excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple shipments and accounts simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Proficiency in CRM systems and logistics software platforms
