Construction Accountant

📍 Remote from Latin America | Full-Time | Contractor Position
💰 $2,500–$2,800/month | 8 AM – 5 PM (Mountain Time)

Latino Legends is proud to partner with a fast-growing U.S.-based construction talent company. We’re looking for an experienced Construction Accountant to join their team and play a critical role in managing financial operations and ensuring the success of large-scale real estate developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, job cost accounting, and cash flow management.

• Develop and maintain internal accounting controls and financial reporting systems.

• Supervise preparation of accounts receivable progress billings based on contract terms.

• Review aging reports and assist with collections.

• Manage vendor and subcontractor payments, ensuring proper lien waiver collection.

• Monitor daily cash balances and ensure requirements are met.

• Oversee preparation and review of monthly financial statements.

• Collaborate with ownership to create and manage budgets.

• Prepare construction contract schedules and oversee monthly job cost reports.

• Participate in ongoing strategic planning with leadership.

• Prepare and present management reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.

• CPA or CMA certification preferred.

• 10+ years of accounting experience (U.S.-based company experience preferred).

• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.

• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and within a team.

• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a focus on self-development.
